The last post was over a year ago, following much frustrating coverage of the White House’s Covid-19 briefings.
This page has never meant to be about politics, just looking at the news from a ‘life-or-death’ perspective, and it was genuinely heartbreaking that there could not be any apolitical ethical coverage of C19 briefings.
I absolutely hated that I was driven to post about politics and take a clear bent in my posting. Full disclosure, I am NOT a REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT and routinely vote 3rd party. I have never considered myself a Trump supporter but I was just so frustrated with the fact that NO GOOD NEWS was allowed to be discussed by the mainstream media. They would literally ONLY discuss predetermined talking points that were exclusively negative either about Trump, his personal life, his consistency, his handling of Covid or random nonsense like the attempt to revive #TrumpRussia with completely unverified and unfounded intelligence on Russian bounties.
I hated how prophetic I was when I stated they would detract with more lies tomorrow. At that next briefing, Trump said the infamous “disinfectant” line: “I see disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that. So you’re going to have to use medical doctors, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see. But the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute, that’s pretty powerful.”
This became, “”I mentioned the President and his uh… let’s say, ‘We can kill the virus by injecting disinfectants, like Lysol, into the body.'”

Notice that Nancy was reading something prepared, likely by someone else and it was not a question as the original quote was but instead a matter-of-fact statement compete with branded product placement. This political lie is brought to you by Lysol!
Dealing the dark world of “FACT CHECKERS” was another dim light in darkness of 2020.
Note the above screencap and caption. This sort of thing was routine where a rumor, misquote or hoax that hurts one political party would get the full color pallette of response, but debunking the other party would get a text-only blurb. I searched again using different search terms in my query, I did find they had one article on the subject with the “Mostly false” designation on the expected meter, but also had an accompanying article providing a medical refutation of the presidents statements. Last I checked, politifact isn’t the Mayo clinic. Why they had 3 articles on one incident seems like a bizarre act of site traffic cannibalism and not great use of their journalistic skills
I honestly don’t even want to get into Snopes as their bias is so insanely extreme they just won’t even mention debunked hoaxes that happen to be rallying cries for groups they like. They refused to refute the widely published and disproven in court claims of Dorian Johnson of “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” and not only refused to debunk #TrumpRussia allegations LONG after the Steele Dossier was refuted by reputable agencies and but have continued to post biased nonsense against Trump in line with the conspiracy theory THIS YEAR!
Anyway, we’re back at it. Expect more content from us. I’ll even bug Slim Johnson and see if he wants to fill us in on what’s going on in Nigeria at the moment.
